James G. Brakke, CIC

James G. Brakke is a Partner with Paragon Charitable Services Group and President and co-founder of Brakke-Schafnitz Insurance Brokers, Inc. headquartered in Laguna Niguel, California.

Jim is a 1964 graduate of Colorado State University and holds a CIC (Certified Insurance Consultants) degree.  Jim is a founding director of Pacific National Bank and C.T. Realty; and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cal-Spas, the Pacific Hospitality Group, Dealer Protection Group, and Commercial Capital Bancorp – an Irvine based bank with over $1.9 billion in assets.  Jim is also on Dealer Protection Group, and Commercial Capital Bancorp – an Irvine based bank with over $1.9 billion in assets.  Jim is also on the Board of Admissions of the G.L. Grazadio School of Business at Pepperdine University and is a former member of the Orange County Sheriffs Advisory Council.

Since 1971, Brakke-Schafnitz Insurance Brokers, Inc., has been a leading provider of commercial insurance, serving its customers in all 50 states.  Today, the company houses over 75 employees, manages in excess of $175,000,000 of insurance premium, and is regarded to be one of Orange County’s top performing companies as recognized in the Orange County Business Journal year after year.

Jim and his wife Glenys have three children and five grandchildren and reside in San Juan Capistrano, California.
